Planning is underway to bring the Connecticut Historical Society's 9/11 mobile exhibit, September 11, 2001: Connecticut Responds and Reflects, to the Brookfield Museum and Historical Society later this year.
Brookfield will be the only venue in 2009 to exhibit the display. The display honors the memories of the 152 Connecticut victims lost in the attacks of 9/11 and focuses on the state's -- and Brookfield's -- efforts to respond in the aftermath of the tragic event.
The exhibit will open Aug. 22 and continue through Oct. 25.
The Brookfield Historical Society is interested in displaying any objects in the possession of town residents related to the September 11 attacks, such as memorial items, artifacts or photographs from friends or relatives who were victims of the tragedy.

Priority consideration will be given to projects involving a large number of individuals and create an impact beyond the initial grant period. Hands-on projects with active community learning are preferred.

The Connecticut State Police Union, which represents the Connecticut State Police, does not authorize any telephone solicitations to homes or individual citizens.
